Partial Products-Multiply
In math we have been learning how to multiply multi-digit numbers. Many of the students know how to use the tradition method, however we are learning the partial product method. This strategy has a strong focus on place value, which plays a critical role in the development of mental and written computation strategies, while providing students with the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of how the standard algorithms work.
Partial Product: Each part of one factor is then multiplied by each part of the other
factor, and finally, all of the resulting partial products are added
