Students this week have been learning about Native Americans. We read a book Children of Native American of Today, created posters to represent the tribe that they were reading about, and Darlene St. Clair came to speak to the students. We have also been blogging about our experiences.

Science Fair
The science fair is February 21st at 9am at Northbridge Mall. Students need to bring in their rough draft and data into school to show Ms. Kyllo by Monday February 2nd. The science fair boards will then be given to the students the next week. More details about time and what you need to bring to the mall will come home soon. Volunteers are always needed to be a judges.
PAINT WEEK
This week we are starting our PAINT week. On Friday we answered blogging questions. What is culture and What is my culture. These are normally two hard questions for 4th graders to answer. We will continue to explore cultures of the United States and their own cultures.
Mr Blong will be making musical instruments with the students so we have asked that the students pick something that they would like to make and bring in any supplies to construct the instrument. I sent home samples on Friday. (paper towel roll, 2 cups, coffee can, soup can, etc)
This is usually a fun week for the students. we will keep you updated as the week continues.
